Suggest emailing wmnsupport

Which version of WMN?

Scripts page says...
Tobwithu wrote "GMX.COM" script and tested with gmx.fr 2011-08-18
He wrote separate "GMX" script and tested with gmx.at 2010-12-30

I don't see too many recent posts about GMX (maybe I'm not looking hard enough)... there's an old post where Tobwithu indicates that he -has- a GMX account (so he wouldn't need a test account). Perhaps you should email wmnsupport (a-t) gmail.com.

You -can- access GMX.com with POP3/IMAP...

GMX script for WebMail Notifier works but loses settings

Hi, I am using this page to ask about a GMX script for WebMail Notifier problem because the forum thread for GMX script issues led me to this page, so it appeared the logical place to ask about a problem I am having with the script for GMX mail. If not the correct forum thread - please redirect me to the correct place to ask.

I use Firefox 7.0.1 with the latest version of WebMail Notifier (current as of January 2012) with the latest (8-18-2011)
version of the GMX script.

The script does work with GMX mail - notifies me of email and automatically logs me into GMX. But after logging in the first time - the script will not log me in again - it only takes me to the main GMX page where I have to login again manually.

When I go into WebMail Notifer options, I notice that the settings for my GMX mail (user ID and password) are NO LONGER there. If I reenter the id and password - then the script works again and it automatically logs me into my GMX mail account. But after logout from GMX mail or upon browser restart - the same thing happens again and again.

Also, I noticed that the settings in the script for settings like "Notify Inbox Only" or "Show Folders" are checked, but they are also "greyed out" - making them inaccessible to modify.

I do not have this problem with the scripts for my Gmail or Yahoo accounts - these work fine each time. Could this problem have something to do with WHERE I placed the script file? (I put in the \WebMail Notifier folder under my FIrefox profile (C:\users\< user name>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\\WebMail Notifer)

Any help is appreciated - whether there is a more updated version of the script ( I could not locate any newer version) or if there is a problem with where I have located the script (although it DOES work, just won't retain information), or if there is a simple edit to the script that I can do.

Thanks.

Greg

Placement

[Edit: Just to note...]

There is a procedure for adding a new script to WMN... but I don't know if it does anything more than move the script to your profile folder.

Usually... someone would download the script to desktop or wherever... and then go to WMN, Options, Scripts (button), click the Add button... and browse to where you downloaded the script, click on the script and click the 'Open' button, then click OK.... and the script would be added into WMN ...instead of you downloading/moving the script right into your Firefox profile.

[Edit] Otherwise... Tobwithu has spoken ;)... see his post.

This is because of

This is because of GMX.COM.
If you open GMX.COM mail second time, you will see this message.

For security reasons, restarting GMX.COM Mail is possible only via the GMX Mail Service. Please close this window and restart GMX.COM Mail.

It seems that GMX.COM invalidate login session, once you open mail page.
I couldn't find a way to avoid this.
